Good morning. Happy Sunday! I hope you have a day off and are enjoying it with your family and friends; hopefully , they are one in the same, LOL.
I work with a majority of out-of-town buyers from places as far as Chicago and Northern Canada. I mention this because real estate buyers often asked about real estate in greater Phoenix in places such as Ahwatukee and Arcadia, which in fact, are not actually cities, they are Phoenix area neighborhoods.
One of the most desirable areas in greater Phoenix Arizona or Scottsdale is Arcadia. There are many reasons this is such a great place to live including its fabulous location between downtown Phoenix Biltmore area and the upscale suburb of Scottsdale. Arcadia AZA has excellent school systems and is built on a former citrus grove resulting in mature landscaping and lush green setting unique or rare in greater Phoenix. Don’t forget, we are in the desert; though if you live in Arcadia, you may not think that.
Arcadia Phoenix, covers the areas of 44th St. through 68th St., north of Indian school Road and S. Of Camelback Rd. ( with a few minor exceptions). again, situated between Phoenix and Scottsdale, and South of Paradise Valley. If you live in Arcadia, you are saying wait a minute part of Arcadia is in Scottsdale. And yes, you would be right. Scottsdale begins on approximately 64th St. ending on 72nd St.; therefore 64th St. through 68th St. is Arcadia Scottsdale; the zip code for Arcadia Scottsdale is 85251.
Arcadia Phoenix is a zip code 85018. There are several famous, or at least locally well-known, streets in Arcadia such as Exeter and Lafayette. Part of the desire of these two particular streets, and there are many other wonderful streets and lanes in Arcadia, is the location several blocks in from the two major roadways and in schooling callback which to have some road noise. As you get further north or south of these two main roads the real estate becomes lower in price, though still quite valuable. home prices range from more than $500,000 to well north of $2 million; home prices in this range are due to large lots, lushlandscaping sets inside orange grapefruit in lemon trees and its proximity between Scottsdale, Phoenix and Paradise Valley. Of course, the architecture, design and quality and aesthetic beauty of the homes do not hurt.
One of the most attractive features to Arcadia, especially for large families is the excellent school systems, some would say the best school systems in Arizona including Hopi elementary,Christ Lutheran, Arcadia high, and a nationally respected Phoenix country Day private school. If you want to learn more about Arcadia Schools or the Arcadia neighborhood, please read the Arcadia News.
There are many other reasons which make Arcadia a wonderful place to live; if asked, to give one reason, I would say the people in the neighborhood make this Phoenix Scottsdale Township a true neighborhood within a city.
